Description The sustainability of the space environment is dependnet on the proliferation of space debris and the ability to maintain the capacity of space to accept new objects.

This project will contribute to the development of a new model of the space environment and on the study of the future sustainability of the use of space.

Key Objectives

The key objectives of this project are:

• to contribute to the development of the current multi-layer netowork model of the space environment created by the Aerospace Centre,

• to analyse relevant cases to test the sustainability of future launches into space,

• to develop an indicator that measure the health status of the space environment and its capacity to host new objects in the future
