Description Many industrial and environmental flows include viscoplastic fluid flows (e.g. waste disposal, concrete, drilling muds, food processing, flows of slurries and lava). Viscoplastic fluids behave like solids when the applied stress is less than the yield stress and start to flow otherwise. Examples include toothpaste, gels, concrete, waxy crude oils, etc.In this project, we will develope a Lattice-Boltzmann approach for numerical modelling of viscoplastic fluid flows. Key Objectives Literature survey on the topicReview the CFD approaches relevant for viscoplastic fluidsGet familiar with OpenLB or any other available Lattice-Boltzmann solverAdapt the appropriate solver for viscoplastic fluid flowsCompare the performance of this approach with classic methods
